The Whitaker Music Festival will return to the Missouri Botanical Garden this summer

After a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Whitaker Music Festival will return to the Missouri Botanical Garden this summer for 10 weeks of free evening concerts.

Each Wednesday from June 1 to August 3, patrons can pack a picnic and make their way to the Cohen Amphitheater lawn to catch performances from an array of musical artists. Free admission begins at 5 p.m., with last entry at 8:15 p.m. for the 7 p.m. performances. Festival partner KDHX will provide preshow DJs before each performance, and visitors can also access the Doris I. Schnuck Children’s Garden before each concert from 5-7 p.m.

New this year for the festival is the advance reservation system, which is required for entry. Tickets for the June 1 concert will be available May 11. For all other concerts, reservations will be made available at noon on the Thursday before the performance. Reservations can be made for up to 10 guests at a time and will remain open until the concert’s start time or capacity (5,000 guests) is reached.
