Imagine looking for your mysterious, long-lost father… only for him to turn out to be Les Battersby. You’d demand a recount, or at least a private word with the storyliners. Yet that’s the cruel fate endured by newcomer Greg Kelly this week. Sadly, he turns out not to be the result of Les’ whirlwind affair with Hollywood legend Grace Kelly, but the product of a random bunk-up when Les was working on a travelling fairground, offering a ride scarier than the ghost train.
Also facing daddy issues this week is Nick, whose college is visited by Darren Whateley; a convicted killer sent to scare them straight with stories of prison life. (A small problem: Darren was jailed for stabbing Nick’s father Brian to death – which really is the most embarrassing coincidence.) Nick’s hooded, vengeful look tells you where all this is heading…
