Danny raises funds with Touchstone
Danny Mills led the drive to raise funds at a charity golf day in Birmingham which collected an impressive £5,000 for ASBAH.
The cash, from the 17 th Touchstone Housing Annual Golf Day, gave another welcome boost to the Helpline Appeal, which has Danny as its Patron.
The event, held at Kings Norton Golf Club on 10 May, raised a total of £18,000 which was divided between ASBAH, Entrust Care and the Heart of England Community Foundation.
Money was raised from team entry fees and programme sponsorship, but the real cash came in at the evening auction where Danny used his powers of persuasion to encourage guests to dig deep into their pockets.
Martin Ellis, chairman of Touchstone, thanked the 27 teams representing businesses from around the Midlands who competed for a host of prizes.
He said: “We all recognise the fantastic work of the chosen charities, on a local and national level, and how they improve the quality of life for many individuals that turn to them in times of need.”
